Scavengers is one of the pieces I wrote for an upcoming No More Room In Hell level. There are a few different versions of it that will play in-game based on whether the player is exploring, in active combat, or if we’re at the end-game finale.

2024 update
Sumptus Ignis released a new single near the end of last year entitled Serene that will be part of a song-cycle that might turn into its own EP or album.
I’m not sure if it was human error or a technical gremlin, but the release date was accidentally processed as if it were 1/5/24. This really screwed up my promo workflow, so no teasers, videos etc. were ready. We have several more new songs in the works but one of our members hit a snag with his recording rig so production has been on hold.
In soundtrack news, I’ve been working with music related to No More Room In Hell again. The first single is called Scavengers and will be out April 5th.
NMRIH OST volume 3 released
Now you can listen to my second batch of spooky tunes from and inspired by No More Room In Hell.
Album release: NMRIH OST Vol. 2

Sound design update: NMRIH Door project
For the zombie survival shooter No More Room In Hell, I’ve been working on creating new sound assets for the doors, hoping to match the game’s creepy atmosphere. To begin, I went through and screen-recorded footage of the various types of doors, gates, and barricades that needed sprucing up, so I had a better idea of what to record, and the approximate timing.
I brought my field recording kit out on a door safari, starting with some of the more interesting doorknobs and hinges in and around my home. While scouting around the neighborhood, I found an abandoned newspaper vending machine that looked promising. It wasn’t as squeaky as I had hoped, but I was able to get some good thumps and rattles, which proved useful for roll-up metal door sounds. Continue reading
NMRIH meets Lego?
A fan made this short film using stop-motion animation, as well as sound assets from No More Room In Hell. Check it out, it has one of my songs in it!

Music demo reel
Song selections come from my Caustic Reverie and TheForgotton projects, the Facewound, No More Room In Hell, and Pirates, Vikings and Knights II game sountracks, and the original score to the short film Gundick: Cocked and Loaded.
2014 is here! Holy crap, it’s almost February!
Howdy, folks. I’ve been too busy writing, making music, and otherwise carrying on to give this site regular updates lately. Here’s my late 2013-to-present update of affairs.
On the writing front, I finished a very rough draft of my first novel Casey Stripe: Discount Necromancer. While I was trying to sort it out and turn it into something more readable, November came around again and I started on another NaNoWriMo attempt, which turned into Further Complications, my second novel. As it stands now, my second book might be ready before my first one, since it was less of a tangled mess and didn’t require nearly as much research into the arcane and occult.
My radio show The Eleventh Hour continues on in podcast form. The updates are more sporadic than I’d like, but you can subscribe to the RSS or just like the Facebook page to be notified when new shows are available.
I’m continuing to work on two Source-engine mods: No More Room in Hell, which made the finals for the ModDB awards for 2013, and Pirates, Vikings, and Knights II. Both are available on Steam, though you may need an Orange-box game already installed to get PVKII running.
There have been some lineup changes with my group Identity Collapse but we’ve recently started recording again. Instead of the electronic drum triggers that we used on the demo, we’ve been able to set up microphones around my real drumset at the IC corporate headquarters.
