The Flooded Assembly’s first review

Mike from Avant Music News has published the first review of my upcoming Caustic Reverie album.

The Flooded Assembly is a haunting and ominous offering, with stark drones, quiet passages, organ-like synth, and slowly evolving sounds. The textures are airy but dark, with Schurman carefully using space to set moods…”

Music update

I have new releases from both of my main projects, Caustic Reverie and Sumptus Ignis, coming out in the near future.

Caustic Reverie’s single Malinger drops May 15th.

The full album is called The Flooded Assembly and should be out June 5th.

Finally, the new Sumptus Ignis, which has the title of Curtain Calls. The album includes our singles from 2019, two new songs, and a rerecorded version of one of the songs from our first EP. A few final mixes and mastering are still in the works, so I don’t have an exact date for this release. If all is well, it should be out summer of this year.

Triangulation re-release and video

Originally written in 2008 for a songwriting contest, Triangulation has a sort of electronic/jungle-fusion vibe. And more like the rainforest jungle than the D&B subgenre. I’m in the process of remastering some of my previous TheForgotton work and this made an obvious first single.

I animated the video with the help of some stock footage and clips I found through Pexels.com.
