Ultra Vires reviewed by Synth&Sequences

Sylvain from Synth&Sequences recently reviewed my latest Caustic Reverie release Ultra Vires.

“Ultra Vires” is the companion of Inadmissible Evidence which was released in 2008. It’s an album very difficult to tame because it is noisier than musical with a flock of musical tones and sound samplings deconstructed which have been reshaped to create a climate where fright meets a serenity won with strike of chills.

The full review.

Caustic update

Ryan and Conner from Voices From Corners Unknown spoke about Ultra Vires on episode 10 of their podcast.

I have reissued the 2008 album Rust Shore. Check it out on Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, and wherever fine nightmares are streamed.

FL studio archeology

I’m currently in the process of digging up the old project files for my Facewound soundtrack songs. The first two have been easy to work with, once I tracked down the old plugins. Many of the projects are giving me hell, however. When I load one, the CPU meter pegs at 100% and a subsonic noise plays immediately.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot my .flp? I’ve tried soloing tracks and disabling vst effects one by one, but no luck so far.
